Snohomish County Public Utility District No. 1

Snohomish County Public Utility District No. 1 (SnoPUD) is a publicly owned utility based in Everett, Washington, serving over 380,000 electric customers and 23,000 water customers. Established in 1936, it covers more than 2,200 square miles in Snohomish County and Camano Island. SnoPUD primarily uses renewable hydropower, including its own Jackson Hydroelectric Project. It operates Washington’s largest community solar project and uses battery storage to improve grid reliability. The utility focuses on clean energy, sustainability, and reliable service.
